In 1959, Robert Guignard, a postal worker and cab driver, decided to lend a hand in Rivière-Ouelle and its surroundings by transporting students to Collège Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière by snowmobile.
In 1984, Daniel Guignard and his wife bought the family business, which later became Transport Daniel Guignard.
The company continued to grow. In 1994, Transport Daniel Guignard acquired Autocar Lord in Sainte-Louise, along with its 10 school buses and luxury coach. This acquisition ushered in a new era for the company, which became Autocar Bas St-Laurent and began specializing in chartered transportation.
In 2006, Guignard handed the reins over to his daughter, Frédérique Guignard. Despite the change in management, the company remained focused on employee transportation, public transit, medical transportation, incoming tourism and new market development.
